whats been happening.....
well, it has definately been awhile since anything was blogged either here or over there (whose blog would that be...hehehe)......so I'll just rattle away for a while......the band has been busy, with band stuff and everybody doing their family Thanksgiving things, which by the way I hope all of you had a good one, and felt plump and happy........at this time of year it's always good to stop and take a look around you and be thankful for what and who you have....as the Rolling Stones have always sung...."you can't always get what you want...but you'll always get what you need......"...which is words worth remembering....and I've not been fond of.."stop and smell the roses", cause if your roses are like mine right now, you won't be able to smell anything, probably just get a sticker in the nose......
..the band has been preparing for the upcoming gig next weekend (Dec.10th) at the Martini Bar here in Columbia. We will have a special surprise guest and musician, but you'll have to come to see who it is....and we do hope everyone will be able to make it out.....the only other public gig we have this month is Dec.31st at the Missouri Theater, @ 8:30 ,for first night.....but that will be a short show in a somewhat grand venue.......but the Martini Bar will be a 3 hour normal gig, and you know what fun was had by all last time we were there and the audiance participation that happened thru out the night........so hopefully you'll come out for that one..........in other news , we need to get Mike, our bass player to continue the tale of the rabbit.....we have waited long enough, we need the next part of the tale......
....the band's various members will be playing all month long, mostly at small private Christmas/Holiday office party type things.........so we are all staying extremly busy, as is everybody at this time of year.....and I hope it's not to early to say it, but have a good and safe Holiday season and stop by and say hi to us when we are on break, it's good to meet people who read the blogs and visit the website...and check out the December issue of Inside Columbia, Hilary is on the cover and there's a very nice article, too.....my hats off to L.G.Patterson for his excellant photos and check out the one on page 169.......and thanks to all those involved with the article from Tim, who started the ball, to the fashion , make up and jewerly folks.......as band members it does us proud to see our "boss" getting the kudos she deserves....Columbia is fortunate to be able to say she's from here, just another example of the talent that has spent some time right here in our fine hometown..........once again, hope to see a bunch of you on the 10th, and other than that , have a wonderful Holiday season..........B.A.
