Hilary sings backup with Little Feat....

Yep thats right, Hilary graced the stage with Little Feat, and sang backup with Feats own Shaun Murphey, and HSB friend/Feat friend Darcy Fangman, on the song "Dixie Chicken" and they were called the "Featettes"......Feat played last night (wed) at the Wildwood Springs Lodge in Steelville, Mo. It was a very intimate concert, with the fans being right in front of the band....about 150 or so....it was an exciting moment and soon we will have pictues up on the website.......the band was very gracious and we were greated by some Feat fans who have heard us both times we opened for the Feat, saying, wow, are you guys opening tonight......which we want to thank all those fans that were there, that took the time to visit......we were there, as were they, as fans and friends of Little Feat. So now Hilary not only has opened for them, but has now performed with them.......as a "Featette"..........Our first gig for the fall portion of the 2005 tour is approaching quickly, Thursday Sept. 1st @ the Twilight Festival...and we've just confirmed Saturday Oct. 15th @ Knucklegeads in Kansas City, it will be good to be back in K.C. playing again.....so let anyone you know to head on down there that weekend , or come down yourselves....they are interested in making it sort of a Kansas City homebase, so come on down and let them know she is well liked.....well, thats enough news for now, check out the gigs page at least once a week to check for newly added gigs and watch the photo albums pages for more pictures....take care and see everyone out there soon, and don't be afraid to come up and introduce yourselves....thanks for being fans.....B.A.

upcoming gigs are getting close......

well, here we are about half way thru August.....and our up coming gigs are getting closer.......Hilary is returning from a much needed vacation, and I'm getting geared up to start playing again......check the website for dates on the "gigs" page and get ready for the new Hilary Scott Fans website......I have seen the prototype and it is nice, so all of you out there get ready for the official opening........also as some of you know, our July 10th gig at Shelter Gardens was recorded.....well that recording made it onto "bt.etree.org, a downloading site of bands that allow taping of their shows.......it was downloaded 159 times the last count I saw.......so there should be some new fans out there.........and for those that don't have access, we may consider offering up these live shows at gigs, for you to get.......we'll be working out the kinks and let you know later....so I'm getting real excited to be back out playing to the masses.......we've got a lot of gigs lined up and our promotions/bookings folks are hard at work to secure us more,.... so thats all for now, just keep checking the website everyday for new listings and special events.......see everyone Sept 1st, downtown for sure.......B.A.

another month gone by....

Well here we are into August, and finally some rain.......hope everyone is having a good summer......Griff (our harmonica player and I (B.A.) traveled over to Springfield, Il. last saturday and caught up with our friends Little Feat.....the band was doing well, getting ready for a two week break......they asked how Hilary and the band was doing, and all of them had the look of satisfaction on their faces, knowing they would be home by the next evening......they put on another great night of music......they will be back in the area on Aug. 17th, down in Steelville , Mo. at the Wildwoods Springs lodge for a full band acoustic show, then the Cubby Bear in Chicago on the 20th, then the River Roots Live Festival in Davenport, Ia on the 21st. So if you get a chance, check them out and tell them you know The Hilary Scott Band also........our next gig will be Sept. 1st on the main courthouse stage for The Twilight Festival, hope to see a bunch of you there, plus mark your calenders for Oct. 22nd, for our return engagement at The Martini Bar here in Columbia.......more out of town dates are popping up, so be sure to check the gigs page on the website, hopefully we'll be in your area soon...if not, call your local venue and ask them about us and when we will be there, and call your local radio station and request Hilary's music.......with enough phone calls to places, you guys could be responsible for a huge ground swell of interest, where it would be tough for us to break in.....you as consumers, have a lot more power than you think.......so put it to good use.......Hilary has a good grassroots movement going on right now, and you can be part of that, simply by voicing your request......it really does work....so thanks again to all of you who have helped out, regardless in what way, or in what fashion.....every little thing helps, and contributes to the whole....so thanks again, and see you in Sept........hey Mike, how about another installment to the Rabbits Tale...........B.A.
