Martini Bar Holiday Show
.....well, we're at it again....we played last night at one of our favorite venues, The Martini Bar.....first off let me thank all the fans that came out and to Doc and his staff, who have once again done a tremendous job........and to Henry for running sound (and Joel for stopping by) and Sam for hanging around and giving a hand......also to Kevin for the fine photos and Melissa for running the Merch Table.......and to Tim for booking the gig..."the checks in the mail, dude".........as I sit here listening to the tapes from last night, with the addition of Carol "The Cello" Elliot...these sound really good.....it was a beautiful addition, thanks Carol....maybe we'll get some put up on the websites for download.....considering the number of band members with colds, you couldn't tell it by the performances, especially from the "boss", who was questionable at soundcheck....., but "Doc" Griff came thru again with his batch of voodoo hoodoo health remedies and she ended up in fine form......a few of the Fans won drawings for Christmas Bow wrapped 4 Cd sets and T-Shirt packages....a wonderful idea.....and there was also a few drawings for single CD packages......which all just added to the holiday spirit.......the "train wreck" which we have loving called our Christmas portion of the show was not flawless, but a blast to do, to be able to just play with no inhibitions and flub up was fun.....and for those of you there, you got the treat of hearing "Griff" sing duets with Hilary....now it seems we'll have to get him on mic more often, without the harp between his lips and the mic.............so maybe the male choir backing Hilary on vocals will now finally come to full fruitation..........a good time was had by all, especially the band, you guys (the Fans) always make us feel good about what we do....thanks again.......coming up we have a few private parties and then we'll be @ The Missouri Theater on Dec. 31st at 8:30, so see ya then and from all of the Hilary Scott Band, have a great and Happy Holiday Season and Thanks again.....B.A.
